David C. King is Chairman of Horst Insurance. Dave specializes in complex commercial accounts where emphasis is placed on program design, master planning, and coverage consolidation. His clients’ insurance programs often include master policy programs involving multiple entities, locations and exposures, or alternative approaches such as captives or self-insurance. Dave’s skills include helping commercial clients assess and modify their risk management program, with an emphasis on business continuity planning.
Dave also serves as Corporate Risk Manager for Horst Group and its diverse set of Construction, Excavation, Property Management and Senior Living business units. Following Nevin’s unexpected passing in 2023, Megan became President of Ruhl Insurance and eventually facilitated the merger between Ruhl and Horst, which was completed in March 2024.
